CMC Launches "Hearts Day" to Promote Employee Wellness

Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) launched "Hearts Day" on September 13, 2024, an initiative designed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and camaraderie among its employees. Held at the CMC Quadrangle, the program aims to promote a healthy and dynamic workplace by encouraging staff to engage in regular physical activities.

Organized by the Office of Human Resource Development and Management in collaboration with the Center for Holistic Health, "Hearts Day" will take place every Friday and feature activities such as Zumba dance, volleyball, and basketball. These sessions are designed to help employees break from their daily routines, promoting both physical and mental wellness.

Further, "Hearts Day" is more than just a wellness program—it’s an opportunity to strengthen bonds among colleagues, promoting teamwork and social interaction. This said initiative aims to create a supportive and energized work environment by encouraging regular participation.

The benefits of this program extend beyond the employees. Through promoting wellness and maintaining high morale among staff, the program also contributes to a more positive and productive atmosphere for students. A healthier faculty and staff lead to better academic support, which in turn enhances the learning experience for all CMCians.
