The faculty of the College of Teacher Education of Central Mindanao Colleges attended the 51st National and 12th International PAFTE Virtual Convention, a two-day event conducted via Microsoft Live last October 20-21, 2022.
The theme of the said convention is “Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education in the New Normal” with the following intended learning outcomes:
1. state at least one issue, challenge, and best practice in attaining quality education;
2. explain at least two policies on exclusive and equitable quality education for sustainable development;
3. discuss at least one process on how to enhance global competitiveness through quality assurance and internationalization; and
4. describe at least one way to promote inclusive and resilient education in the new normal.
The convention was participated nationwide by PAFTE members including the CTE full-time and part time faculty headed by its dean, Dr. Jaymie A. Rellon; who emphasized the importance of attending endeavors like this for professional growth and advancement.
As part of its faculty development program, CMC shouldered the registration fees of the full-time faculty where they can also benefit 15-CPD units from the said convention which they can use in their license renewal with the Professional Regulation Commission.
It is expected from this convention that the participants would be able to learn from the speakers’ discussion which they can use to face the challenges in the new normal and adapt best practices in their institutions in order to attain quality education and enhance global competitiveness through quality assurance and internationalization.
