The officers of the Association of Future Mathematics and Science Educators (AFMSE), along with the CTE Dean Dr. Jaymie Rellon, carried out a community outreach exercise last October 9, 2022 held at Habitat, Brgy. Sudapin, an adopted community of Central Mindanao Colleges.
The goal of this activity is mainly to assess the families in Habitat, Sudapin in terms of the community’s strengths and weaknesses, gaps, and needs. This activity will act as a model for the interventions which other organizations within our institutions will carry out at Habitat, Brgy Sudapin, Kidapawan City for this academic year.
“We, the officers of the Association of Future Mathematics and Science Educators (AFMSE) developed this sort of activity with the help of our CTE Dean in order to initiate community interventions. Our institution’s goal includes engaging in numerous initiatives for the benefits and welfare of the community as well as the school in general. The CMC AFSME officers can use this as a learning opportunity to completely commit in both their department and the CMC organization as a whole.” These were the statements made by the enthusiastic Jhuman Mamalintao, the President of CMC-AFMSE in interviews conducted during the said event.
Indeed, everyone is happy with the success of the activity. The meaningful experiences and the added insights taken from families of Habitat in Brgy. Sudapin taught every participant a lasting knowledge and realization in life.
