CMC CTE Shines at PAFTE Students’ Congress

Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) – College of Teacher Education (CTE) faced off with different schools at the Regional PAFTE Students’ Congress held at the University of Southern Mindanao (Main Campus) in Kabacan, Cotabato on April 18, 2024. Over 150 practice teachers of CMC CTE participated in the event, which speaks commitment of the institutions’ focus on excellence.

With the theme, “Professionalism and Ethical Standards in Teaching: Preparing Preservice Teachers in the World of Work”, the event highlights the seminar on DepEd Hiring Policy which headed by SDS Romelito G. Flores, Schools Division Superintendent of Cotabato Region.

Meanwhile, a seminar led by Dr. Mario M. Bermudez, the Director III of Human Resource and Organizational Development at DepEd Central Office, talked about, “Professionalism and Ethical Standards in Teaching”, in which both speakers shared their knowledge and expertise in their topics.

Afterward, a number of competitions were held, which gave the 11 participating schools a chance to showcase their skilss and talents through various competitions. In the thick of talent and skills, two CMCian students were awarded for their passion and excellence in their respective contests.

Erika Ladra, a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education – Major in Social Studies, secured 2nd Place in the Extemporaneous Speaking competition. Likewise, Dan Donor Neniel, a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education – Major in Filipino, bagged the title of being the CHAMPION in the Teaching Demonstration Competition.

Central Mindanao Colleges continues to support its students by providing them with countless opportunities and platforms to showcase the results of their trainings and learnings while studying at CMC, emphasizing the value of excellence that the institution instills not just with their students, but to every CMCian out there.
