MEDIATING ROLE OF PERSONALITY TRAITS ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN CONFLICT MANAGEMENT STYLE AND LEADERSHIP COMPETENCE OF SCHOOL HEADS: A CONCURRENT TRIANGULATION

The study was conducted to find out the level of the personality traits, behavioral conflict management and leadership competence of school heads as well as the relationships of the factors personality traits and behavioral conflict management and their effect on the leadership competence. This study included the school heads in Kidapawan City Division, Kidapawan North Cotabato. The result indicated that school heads have high level in all the three variables: personality traits, behavioral conflict management and leadership competence. The result further revealed that factors like personality traits and behavioral conflict management, have significant direct effect on the leadership competence of school heads. This implied that personality traits and behavioral conflict management are factors that explained the level of leadership competence of school heads.
