The model indicated that teaching engagement and task performance have significant direct effect on the school based management practices while organizational climate has an indirect effect on the school based management practices, however, it has a significant indirect effect on the school based management practices as mediated by teaching engagement. On the other hand, the task performance has a significant direct effect on the school based management practices which is mediated by teaching engagement. This implied that teaching engagement is a factor that explained the relationship of organizational climate and task performance on the school based management practices of school heads.
