In 2023, World Teachers’ Day celebrations will focus on the theme ““Empowering Educators: Strengthening Resilience, Building Sustainability”.
The ceremony will be opened by UNESCO’s Director-General, followed by messages from the three co-convening agencies: the International Labour Organization (ILO), UNICEF, and Education International.
As part of the celebrations, UNESCO will inaugurate an original photo exhibition featuring teachers from across the globe. This exhibition will showcase portraits and testimonials, recognizing their dedication, passion, and commitment to shaping the future. It will also highlight UNESCO’s work on teachers. It will be on display outside UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, from late September to mid-October.
