In a world packed with artistic wonders, not everyone has the opportunity to fully appreciate their beauty. However, at Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), the “TUKLASINING” workshop, held on October 10, 2023 at CMC Building 9 offered an exclusive gateway to the world of art. This workshop was specifically designed for students in the Art Appreciation class by Ms. Elaine Grace O. Llagas.
Guided by the experienced artist Ms. Bemajyn Agudos Galos, participants were encouraged to express their emotions and creativity on canvas. They delved into the history and elements of visual arts and were introduced to the enchanting world of painting.
What set this workshop apart was its interactive nature. It went beyond the creation of art; it nurtured dialogue and critique among CMC students, enriching their appreciation of art.
In essence, “TUKLASINING” aimed to equip CMC students with the skills to create, analyze, understand, and critique art, thereby deepening their appreciation of this captivating world.
The workshop aimed to awaken the inner artist in CMCian students by providing them with the opportunity to express their emotions and creativity.
“TUKLASINING” also encouraged discussions in which CMCian students analyzed and critiqued each other’s work, refining their artistic perspectives and instilling an understanding of the intrinsic value that art brings to life.
In retrospect, “TUKLASINING” at CMC emphasizes the importance of enabling everyone, especially our own students, to see and appreciate the artistry in the world.
