Kidapawan City- Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) kicked off the new academic year 2023-2024 by hosting a virtual orientation for the Graduate School Education students on August 27, 2023. Organized by the Graduate School Student Council, this online event aimed to bring together students and faculty, creating a positive atmosphere for the upcoming academic journey.
The orientation was well-attended, with around 320 virtual participants actively engaging in the event, setting a positive tone for the start of the 2023-2024 academic year.
The main goal of the orientation was to introduce students to the Graduate School Education program and the resources available to support their studies. Whether students were starting their postgraduate studies or continuing their education, they were given essential tools to succeed within the CMC community.
The event had the theme “DUYOG KITA! Together We Thrive: Celebrating 76 Years of Nurturing Excellence,” highlighting unity, shared goals, and the CMCs 76-year history of academic excellence.
Throughout the event, participants discussed their academic paths and learned about school policies. The orientation also addressed questions on higher education and stressed the importance of making informed decisions for academic success.
This enthusiastic response reflected the dedication of the CMC community to a successful beginning. As the orientation came to an end, participants showed their excitement and motivation, setting their academic path for a year focused on growth, exploration, and commitment to excellence.
School President Dr. Cynthia S. Asuncion emphasized the college’s core values: Love for God, Integrity, Family Orientation, and Excellence. Her message of “Duyog kita! Together We Thrive: Celebrating 76 Years of Nurturing Excellence” resonated everyone.
Similar to how our CMCian torch represents knowledge, enlightenment, and progress, it also stands for unity within our CMCian community. The time has come for each of us to light our CMCian torches, guiding the way forward with passion and determination.
Together, as ONE CMCians, we have the power to achieve great things and create a legacy that proudly embodies the spirit of our CMCian Torch.
