As a Filipino political economist who has made his home in Europe, Dr. Juego has imparted his knowledge from institutions such as the Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics in Finland and the University of Helsinki.
Dr. Juego possesses an impressive academic journey, earning degrees from renowned universities in Denmark, Malaysia, and his home country, the Philippines. Prior to his international career, he served as a Legislative Researcher and held the position of Director II at the Office of the Deputy Speaker for Mindanao in the House of Representatives of the Philippines.

In commemoration of Peace Consciousness Month 2023, the Al Qalam Institute of Ateneo de Davao University (AQI), in collaboration with Central Mindanao Colleges-Official (CMC), takes the lead in organizing a two-day conference.
This event, scheduled on September 1 and 2, 2023, at Central Mindanao Colleges in Kidapawan City, is dedicated to the exploration of Peace Research (Day 1) and the discussion of Peace Education Interventions (Day 2) in both local and international contexts.
This collaborative initiative brings together researchers, academic institutions, and non-governmental organizations, all committed to the overarching goal of nurturing sustainable peace and development in the Mindanao region.
The conference is an integral part of the KEEP Peace Project, aptly titled “Empowering Mindanao Youth through Formation, Instruction, Research, and Engagement,” orchestrated by the Al Qalam Institute and supported by the GIZ – Civil Peace Service (GIZ-CPS).
It promises to attract a diverse array of participants, including administrators, faculty members, and students from secondary schools, colleges, and graduate institutions, both public and private. Moreover, officials and volunteers representing non-governmental and people’s organizations in Mindanao have actively contributed to this event.
