Central Mindanao Colleges joins in the worldwide celebration of International Literacy Day 2023, as designated by UNESCO. This year’s theme, ‘Promoting literacy for a world in transition: Building the foundation for sustainable and peaceful societies,’ highlights the vital role of literacy in shaping a brighter future.
We commemorate the Annual National Literacy Week from September 2 to 8, in accordance with Proclamation No. 239, s. 1993 entitled ‘Declaring the Period from September 2 to 8 of Every Year as Literacy Week.’
We encourage all CMCian student organizations to actively participate in this celebration by organizing various activities that promote literacy, awareness, and community engagement. Let us harness our collective energy and creativity to make a positive impact, promoting community engagements for a more literate and enlightened society.
Together, as one CMCian community, we can honor those dedicated to this noble cause and inspire positive change.
