Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), through the Center for
International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL), successfully conducted the
Field-Based Experiential Learning (FBEL) Orientation for Master in Business
Administration (MBA) students in preparation for their upcoming International
Educational Trip. The orientation marks another significant step in the
institution's commitment to providing transformative global learning
experiences that cultivate internationally competent business professionals,
visionary leaders, and globally competitive executives.
As an integral component of the graduate curriculum, the
Field-Based Experiential Learning (FBEL) Program is designed to extend learning
beyond the classroom by providing students with opportunities for international
academic engagement, industry immersion, and meaningful intercultural
experiences. Through carefully designed educational activities, the program
enables graduate students to apply advanced management concepts in real-world
settings while strengthening the global perspectives, leadership capabilities,
and strategic competencies essential for today's dynamic business environment.
The orientation provided participants with comprehensive
guidance on travel preparations, documentary requirements, institutional
policies, and program expectations to ensure a safe, organized, and
academically meaningful international learning experience. Participants were
oriented on essential travel documents, including passport validity, visa
requirements when applicable, institutional clearances, travel insurance, and
other compliance requirements necessary prior to departure.
The proposed educational itinerary and travel arrangements were
likewise presented by Mr. Marc R. Bongato, General Manager of Quality Travel
Hub and Tours. The discussion highlighted the academic visits, industry
engagements, cultural immersion activities, and logistical preparations
carefully designed to support the learning outcomes of the FBEL Program while
providing participants with valuable exposure to global business practices,
innovation, and international professional environments.
The orientation reflects the collaborative efforts of Central
Mindanao Colleges, the Center for International Affairs and Linkages, and its
industry partners in ensuring that every aspect of the international
educational trip is aligned with institutional standards, academic objectives,
and student welfare. It further demonstrates CMC's commitment to equipping MBA
students with international exposure that enhances leadership, strategic
thinking, intercultural competence, and professional excellence.
Aligned with the Institution's internationalization agenda, the
FBEL Program advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,
particularly SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting experiential, inclusive, and
globally connected learning opportunities, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic
Growth by strengthening leadership, innovation, and professional competencies
through international academic and industry exposure, and SDG 17: Partnerships
for the Goals by fostering collaboration among higher education institutions,
industry partners, and international stakeholders in delivering transformative
educational experiences.
The program is likewise implemented in accordance with CHED
Memorandum Order No. 26, Series of 2015, which provides the Policies,
Guidelines, and Procedures on International Educational Trips (IET) of
undergraduate and graduate students. By integrating structured international
learning experiences into the curriculum, CMC continues to uphold quality
assurance, academic relevance, and student safety while preparing MBA students
to become globally competitive business leaders and responsible professionals.
As preparations continue for the upcoming international
educational trip, the FBEL Orientation reaffirms Central Mindanao Colleges'
unwavering commitment to developing globally competitive business leaders
through experiential learning, international engagement, and meaningful
academic partnerships. Through initiatives such as the FBEL Program, CMC
remains steadfast in its mission of empowering future executives,
entrepreneurs, managers, and industry leaders who are equipped to innovate,
lead with integrity, and thrive in an increasingly interconnected global
business landscape.
