About the Research & Publication Office

ABOUT CEC

The Center for Social Action (CSA) at Central Mindanao Colleges is a dedicated office that creates and facilitates opportunities for faculty, students, staff, and alumni to actively engage in transformative outreach and community development initiatives. As the social responsibility arm of CMC, CSA responds to the needs of marginalized and underserved communities through a participatory and inclusive approach. The office implements policies, programs, and services aimed at enhancing the capacities of communities to address their own needs, thereby promoting empowerment, self-reliance, and sustainable development. CSA serves as a vital link between the College’s resources and the communities it serves.

In its role as a social formation arm of the College, CSA also enriches the learning experiences of both students and faculty. Through hands-on engagement in community-based activities, participants are able to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts, deepening academic understanding and social awareness. More than providing assistance, CSA’s programs are designed to instill a strong sense of volunteerism, civic responsibility, and community involvement—core values essential to shaping responsible citizens who contribute meaningfully to nation-building.
