On September 23, 2023, Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), represented by its Institutional Marcomm Officer Erolle Linus T. Miranda, actively participated in the Digital Citizenship training series organized by the Media Educators of Mindanao (MEM), a non-profit organization comprising media and communication educators and professionals in Mindanao.
Miranda, a member of MEM, has been involved in this training highlighting CMC’s dedication to promoting digital citizenship and enhancing education in the digital age. His insights and contributions during the sessions highlights his commitment to advancing digital literacy and responsible online behavior, enriching the discussions and reflecting CMC’s commitment to digital education.
This training series, titled “Digital Citizenship Integration in the Classroom,” is a collaborative effort to empower educators and media practitioners with the skills needed to explore the complexities of the digital world effectively.

This participation aligns with the Global Media & Information Literacy Week, initiated by UNESCO, with this year’s theme focusing on “Media and Information Literacy in Digital Spaces: A Collective Global Agenda.” This theme emphasizes the importance of integrating media and information literacy into policies, operations, and products, urging educators to incorporate Digital Citizenship into their classrooms.
