CONNEXIO 2026 Unites CMCians Through Meaningful Connections Across Colleges

A great school experience is not built by classrooms alone. It is built in the moments when strangers become friends, differences become connections, and separate circles begin to feel like one community.

Central Mindanao Colleges successfully concluded CONNEXIO 2026, a series of acquaintance events across its academic units designed to create meaningful spaces for students to meet, engage, belong, and build relationships beyond the classroom.

More than a sequence of social gatherings, CONNEXIO became a shared institutional experience where each college expressed its identity through creativity, culture, energy, and community. From elegant runways and Gatsby-inspired celebrations to enchanted groves, cinematic premieres, underwater worlds, and unexpected “glitches,” every event carried one common purpose: 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗠𝗖𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

The College of Civil Engineering Education opened its celebration through Dancing Into the Golden Age of Gatsby Elegance, where future engineers discovered that before strong structures are built, strong connections must first be formed.

The College of Computing Education and Psychology Department brought together technology and human insight through Cognitive Glitch, proving that even the most unexpected encounters can become the right connections when people meet with openness and shared energy.

The College of Criminal Justice Education transformed its gathering into The Scarlet Premiere, where courage, confidence, and belonging converged into one stronger Criminology family.

The Social Work Department created a space rooted in compassion and community through Nocturne of the Enchanted Grove, reflecting the profession’s enduring commitment to human connection, belonging, and service.

The College of Accountancy and Business Management Education brought its community beneath the waves through Lueur de Mer: An Evening Beneath the Sea, where separate currents symbolically became one ocean and individual stories found their place within a shared community.

The series culminated with the College of Teacher Education’s Grand CTE Runway Gala, where future educators stepped into a celebration of confidence, unity, friendship, and the collective journey of becoming professionals who will one day inspire others.

Across these distinct celebrations, one message remained constant: 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗜𝗢 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲. 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Through shared experiences, students found new circles, strengthened friendships, discovered common ground, and became part of communities that will accompany them throughout their CMC journey.

The initiative also reflects 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟰: 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 through holistic student development beyond the classroom, 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟱: 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 through inclusive spaces where students can participate, express themselves, and build equitable relationships, and 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟭𝟳: 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 through collaboration among academic units, student organizations, institutional offices, and event partners.

For Central Mindanao Colleges, the success of CONNEXIO 2026 affirms that student development is strengthened when academic life is complemented by experiences that nurture 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆.

The lights may have dimmed. The music may have ended. The stages may now be empty. But the most important part of CONNEXIO remains: the people who found one another, the friendships that began, and the communities that became stronger because they chose to connect.

𝗖onnections were made.

𝗠emories were created.

𝗖ommunities became stronger.

CONNEXIO 2026 may be over, but what it started continues.
