Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), through the Center for
International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL), actively participated in the 8th
Session of Project PIVOT (Partnerships for International Visibility and
Operational Transformation) on July 23, 2026, reaffirming the institution's
commitment to strengthening internationalization initiatives through continuous
learning, strategic collaboration, and global academic engagement. The virtual
session gathered Higher Education Institutions across the Philippines to deepen
their understanding of emerging internationalization strategies and best
practices in higher education.
The eighth session featured the Transnational Higher Education
(TNHE) Division of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), which provided a
comprehensive discussion on Transnational Higher Education and its growing
significance in enhancing the quality, accessibility, and global
competitiveness of Philippine higher education. The session highlighted the
role of TNHE in fostering cross-border academic collaboration, expanding
international educational opportunities, and promoting innovative academic models
that respond to the evolving demands of a globalized educational landscape.
Beyond providing an overview of Transnational Higher Education,
the session emphasized the importance of strategic institutional readiness,
quality assurance, policy compliance, and sustainable international
partnerships in the successful implementation of TNHE initiatives. It also
underscored how collaborative academic programs and international engagement
can create greater opportunities for students, faculty members, and higher
education institutions to participate in globally relevant and transformative
educational experiences.
CMC's participation in Project PIVOT 8 reflects the
institution's continuing efforts to strengthen its internationalization agenda
by actively engaging in capacity-building initiatives that promote academic
excellence, innovation, and institutional development. Through continuous
participation in Project PIVOT, the College remains committed to exploring
opportunities that broaden global perspectives, enhance institutional
capabilities, and cultivate meaningful international collaborations.
Aligned with the College's internationalization agenda, the
initiative advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,

inclusive higher education opportunities, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and
Infrastructure by encouraging innovative academic models and institutional
