Central Mindanao
Colleges (CMC) has once again demonstrated its commitment to youth empowerment
and employment readiness after being recognized as a JobStart Employer Champion
during the regional recognition program. The institution earned distinctions under
the Outstanding Youth Beneficiaries category at the regional level,
highlighting its significant contribution to preparing young individuals for
meaningful career opportunities.
The recognition
affirms CMC's dedication to bridging education and employment through
innovative career development initiatives, industry partnerships, and workforce
readiness programs. Through its Center for Job Placement (CJP), the institution
continues to provide students and graduates with access to employment
opportunities, skills enhancement activities, and career guidance services that
equip them for the demands of the modern workplace.
The JobStart Program,
an initiative of the (DOLE), aims to improve the employability of Filipino
youth by providing life skills training, technical training, and internship
opportunities. CMC's active participation and support have enabled numerous
young beneficiaries to develop the competencies needed to successfully
transition from education to employment.
Leading the
implementation of the program within the institution is Mr. Jerson John Villegas, LPT,
Job Placement Officer, whose dedication to career development, employer
engagement, and youth employability initiatives has contributed significantly
to the successful delivery of employment programs and opportunities for
students and graduates. Through collaborative efforts with various
stakeholders, CMC continues to strengthen its role as a catalyst for workforce
development and career success.
CMC also extends its
heartfelt gratitude to the DOLE Cotabato Field Office for its unwavering
support, guidance, and partnership in advancing youth employment programs. The
office's commitment to empowering young Filipinos has been instrumental in
creating pathways toward meaningful employment and sustainable careers for
countless beneficiaries.
This achievement
reflects the collective efforts of the college administration, faculty members,
staff, industry partners, and the Center for Job Placement in fostering a
culture of excellence and employability. It also reinforces CMC's mission of
producing globally competitive graduates who are prepared to contribute
