From local academic spaces to the
international stage, Dr. Marjhuvyn B. Lapiras, PhD, Graduate School Education
(GSE) faculty member of Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), Philippines, proudly
represented the institution in the Six Day International Faculty Development
Programme organized by the Department of Visual Communication of S.A. College
of Arts and Science, affiliated with the University of Madras, India.
During the global academic engagement, Dr.
Lapiras delivered a scholarly presentation titled “Teaching with Artificial
Intelligence: A Comparative Phenomenological Study of Teachers’ Classroom
Practices.” The presentation explored the emerging role of Artificial
Intelligence in transforming pedagogical practices in higher education,
particularly within the contexts of Thailand and the Philippines.
The discussion highlighted AI governance
frameworks, ethical AI readiness among faculty members, sustainable digital
infrastructures, and the growing need for institutional innovation ecosystems
in modern education. The presentation also emphasized the importance of
responsible AI integration in fostering effective, adaptive, and future ready
teaching and learning environments.
The international forum gathered
educators, researchers, and academic leaders from different countries,
fostering meaningful dialogue on the future of AI enabled teaching strategies
and global educational transformation. Through this engagement, Dr. Lapiras
showcased the research driven and globally responsive academic practices of
Central Mindanao Colleges while strengthening international academic
collaboration and scholarly exchange.
The participation of Dr. Lapiras reflects the continuing commitment of Central Mindanao Colleges and S.A. College of Arts and Science to academic excellence, innovation, global partnership, and transformative education in the digital age.
