Guidance in action. Assessment with
purpose. Student support in excellence.
On
February 22, 2026, Central Mindanao Colleges, through its Center for Guidance
Services and Testing (CGST), successfully conducted the Scholastic Abilities
Test for Adults (SATA) for enrolled Doctor of Philosophy in Education major in
Educational Leadership (PhDEL) students at CMC Building 9.
The
SATA is a comprehensive standardized assessment designed to evaluate advanced
verbal, quantitative, and analytical competencies essential for success in
doctoral-level studies. These critical skills enable students to engage deeply
with complex academic literature, design and implement high-level research,
analyze data with accuracy, and produce scholarly work that meets international
academic standards.
Currently
under the management and monitoring of the Institute for Support Services, CGST
continues to strengthen its service delivery through effective leadership and
strategic oversight. The center is headed by Renz Wally Amualla, whose guidance
and commitment ensure the consistent provision of responsive, student-centered
support services.
Through
this initiative, the Graduate School, in partnership with CGST, reinforces its
commitment to holistic student development by providing sustained academic
guidance, reliable assessment services, and responsive support systems that
strengthen doctoral readiness.
This
effort directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals,
particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic
Growth), by promoting quality graduate education and advancing professional
competence.
The
successful implementation of the SATA reflects the institution’s dedication to
strengthening research culture, upholding quality assurance standards, and
developing competent, innovative, and globally competitive educational leaders.
Choose
CMC, where guidance empowers scholars, assessment ensures excellence, and
leadership begins.
