CMC Leads a Bold Reaffirmation of the SDG Commitment Cards

C – CommitM – MobilizeC – ChampionCMC Leads a Bold Reaffirmation of the SDG Commitment Cards“What begins as a simple act today becomes a legacy tomorrow.” At Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), advocacy is not an occasional campaign. It is a sustained culture. As early adopters of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), CMC has long stood at the forefront of meaningful action.  Now, with renewed purpose, the institution marks a reaffirmation of this ongoing mission through the strengthened launch of the SDG Commitment Cards, held on July 14, 2025. Under the leadership of Ms. Desiree Gayramara, Coordinator of the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL), this milestone is more than a ceremonial act. It is a bold declaration that CMC remains deeply committed to shaping responsible, action-driven global citizens. “This isn’t starting over. It’s stepping forward, stronger,” said Ms. Gayramara. “We are reaffirming what we have always stood for: that change is personal, and it begins with each of us.” The initiative, grounded in the call to Commit, Mobilize, and Champion, once again unites the entire CMC community. From students to staff, faculty to administrators, everyone shares the mission to live out the SDGs in real, practical ways. Each Commitment Card is not just a formality. It is a visible, daily reminder of what it means to be a CMCIan: someone who chooses action over apathy and responsibility over rhetoric. “The SDGs aren’t just global numbers. They’re human values,” Ms. Gayramara added. “Every signature is a pledge to act, to lead, to care.” Cards are now displayed proudly across CMC’s offices, classrooms, student centers, and institutes. Their presence signals a vibrant movement reborn, a reaffirmation not only of goals but of identity, purpose, and community. Each SDG Commitment Card at CMC represents a personal and collective vow to uphold all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. It begins with ending poverty and hunger, and includes promoting health, education, and gender equality. It affirms dedication to clean water and energy, decent work, and innovation. It calls for reduced inequalities, sustainable communities, responsible consumption, and urgent climate action. It defends life on land and below water and demands peace, justice, and strong partnerships. These cards are more than a gesture. They are a daily promise to act with purpose and live with impact. This moment strengthens CMC’s evolving role as a champion of inclusive education, environmental responsibility, peacebuilding, and sustainable development. With every card signed and every goal embraced, CMC reclaims its place as a college of conscience and impact. So if you’re ready to stand for something bigger,If you believe education must lead to transformation,If you believe action speaks louder than intention,Choose CMC. “From the classroom to the community, from the personal to the planetary, this is how we create change.” ELTM, CMSCO #ChooseCMC #CMCForTheGoals#GlobalExcellence #SDGChampions#SustainableCMC #ActForChange#FromRootsToGlobalReach #SDGReaffirmation #EducationForSustainability #CMCIansForImpact
