Central
Mindanao Colleges CMC proudly marks another institutional milestone as it joins
the Times Higher Education THE Impact Rankings 2025 with a 1501 plus placement,
affirming its strong commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable
Development Goals SDGs through education, research, and community engagement.
This
international recognition was officially conferred by Commission on Higher
Education CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis during CHED’s acknowledgment
of Philippine higher education institutions honored by global ranking bodies.
The award for CMC was received on behalf of the institution by CHED Region XII
Regional Director Dr. Rody P. Garcia, MDM, Ed.D., JD, symbolizing the strong
partnership between CMC and the regional office in championing higher education
excellence and internationalization in SOCCSKSARGEN.
CMC’s
achievement aligns with CHED’s memorandum inviting HEIs recognized by
international ranking systems including QS, THE World, THE Asia, and THE Impact
Rankings to the INTERNATIONALIZATION CHAMPIONS OF NATION BUILDING AND
SUSTAINABILITY ICONS Awards 2025, a celebration of institutions demonstrating
exemplary performance in global metrics. 
As
part of its growing internationalization efforts, CMC places a strong emphasis
on championing the SDGs, particularly: SDG 3 Good Health and Well Being,
through health promotion initiatives for students and communities, SDG 4
Quality Education, by delivering accessible, relevant, and outcomes based
learning, SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth, by supporting employability,
entrepreneurship, and industry partnerships
SDG
16 Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, by fostering good governance,
ethical leadership, and inclusive academic policies, SDG 17 Partnerships for
the Goals, through its expanding local and global institutional collaborations,
CMC’s inclusion in the Impact Rankings underscores its sustained efforts to
embed these SDGs across institutional systems, ensuring that academic programs,
research outputs, extension initiatives, and student engaged projects
contribute meaningfully to sustainable development.
CMC
President Dr. Cynthia S. Asuncion welcomed the recognition, stating
“This
achievement reflects the dedication of our entire academic community. It
reinforces our commitment to nurture education that transforms learners and
uplifts communities.” The Center for International Affairs and Linkages CIAL
likewise emphasized the significance of the award
“Being
acknowledged in the Impact Rankings strengthens our mission to pursue global
standards, expand international linkages, and further champion sustainable
development through innovative and inclusive academic practices.”

this honor, Central Mindanao Colleges continues to establish itself as a
