Kidapawan City, August 6, 2025 – In the spirit of collaboration and shared purpose, the officers of PRISM (Passionate and Responsive Individuals for Strategic Internationalization and Sustainable Development in Mindanao), the leading student organization under the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL) at Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), convened for a fellowship luncheon at Robata, Kidapawan. This meaningful gathering took place immediately after the successful Preparatory Meeting for the ASEAN Month Celebration, which brought together higher education institutions from Cotabato and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The luncheon provided an opportunity for PRISM officers to reflect on the outcomes of the regional meeting and to realign their organizational initiatives with CMC’s strategic development goals. A key highlight of their discussion was the proposed Academic Hall Project, a forward-looking infrastructure initiative that seeks to support academic excellence, intercultural dialogue, and global engagement at CMC.
In a strong display of student leadership and solidarity, the PRISM officers unanimously expressed their commitment to support the Academic Hall Project. They emphasized that their contribution reflects not only their alignment with the institution’s vision but also their dedication to fostering sustainable, inclusive, and student-centered development.
A formal resolution was adopted during the luncheon and will be formally transmitted to the Office of the President, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Vice President for Administration and Finance, the Center for Student Success, and the Center for International Affairs and Linkages for appropriate acknowledgment and action.
This initiative is a clear manifestation of PRISM’s unwavering dedication to its mission: empowering the youth of Central Mindanao Colleges through locally responsive and globally engaged initiatives that drive sustainable development and foster a resilient community. By advancing strategic partnerships and immersive learning experiences, PRISM continues to nurture globally minded leaders who are prepared to address both local and international challenges, contributing meaningfully to the sustainable growth of Mindanao.
