KIDAPAWAN CITY, SOCCSKSARGEN – Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) proudly competed in the IZN and TNHE Caravan and Culmination of the 58th ASEAN Month Celebration held at the University of Southern Mindanao, Kabacan, Cotabato, on August 29, 2025, where their youth-led initiative was recognized as one of the best projects in the region. Represented by student leaders Cristoper D. Fernando, Jen Mar Maquiling, and Jhun Rey P. Orong, the team carried the banner of CMC, standing out among 14 Higher Education Institutions across SOCCSKSARGEN. Their initiative is a framework for empowering adaptive young leaders, designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity in the region. By addressing sustainability, peacebuilding, and social equity, the project proved how local solutions can generate meaningful impact not only within SOCCSKSARGEN but also across the ASEAN community. This recognition is a proud milestone for CMC’s Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL) and its student arm PRISM (Passionate & Responsive Individuals for Strategic Internationalization & Sustainable Development in Mindanao). It reaffirms that CMC students can conceptualize and deliver projects that stand among the best in the region, while contributing to transformative conversations in sustainability, inclusivity, and peacebuilding across ASEAN.
