On August 15, 2025, the CMC Library turned into a lively arena of ideas during DeBATTLE 2025, as Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) students went head-to-head in a debate with the theme: “Clash of Convictions on the Philippine Political System.” The event featured student debaters passionately arguing different sides of key political issues — from political dynasties and electoral reforms to federalism and the role of young people in shaping the country’s future. Fellow students and faculty members filled the room, showing full support as the participants laid down strong points, sharp rebuttals, and thought-provoking insights. The judges, made up of selected faculty members, scored the performances based on clarity, logic, and confidence. At the end of the day, DeBATTLE 2025 wasn't just about winning arguments — it was about speaking up, challenging ideas, and learning how to engage in meaningful conversations about the nation’s most pressing issues. CMC continues to support academic events like this, believing that activities which build confidence, critical thinking, and public speaking skills help shape students into informed and responsible citizens.
