CMC CCJE Strengthens Global Academic Linkages at Ho Chi Minh City University of Law

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — September 22, 2025. The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) of Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), under the CIAL I-ACE (International Academic and Cultural Exchange) Program, actively engaged in an academic exchange and campus visit at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Law (ULAW).

The event brought together ULAW’s Faculty of International Law and the CMC delegation of future law enforcers and faculty for meaningful exchanges on international law, criminology, and comparative legal systems.

A key highlight of the program was the lecture delivered by Dr. Rolando D. Poblador, RCrim, JD, Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education. His insightful presentation provided the Philippine perspective on criminology and law enforcement, enriching the exchange of knowledge and strengthening CMC’s academic presence on the international stage.

Complementing this was the keynote address “From Reform to Global Engagement: Vietnam’s Journey of International Economic Integration” delivered by Nguyen Thi Lan Huong, Ph.D., from ULAW’s International Law Faculty. The lecture offered a deeper understanding of Vietnam’s legal and economic reforms, allowing for comparative insights between the Philippines and Vietnam.

The visit also featured a guided campus and library tour, giving CMC participants the opportunity to experience ULAW’s facilities and learning resources, further building pathways for academic cooperation and cultural exchange.

This international engagement highlights CMC’s ongoing commitment to excellence, global partnerships, and transformative education directly contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

• SDG 4: Quality Education – by expanding learning opportunities beyond borders;

• SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by strengthening knowledge in law, justice, and governance;

• SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by fostering cross-border academic cooperation.

With the active participation of Dean Dr. Poblador and the CCJE delegation, CMC continues to advance its mission of preparing globally aware and socially responsible professionals in criminology and law enforcement.
