On August 29, 2025, Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), through the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL) and its official student arm, Passionate and Responsive Individuals for Strategic Internationalization and Sustainable Development in Mindanao (PRISM), proudly represented the institution at the Global Youth Summit 2025 held at SM Lanang, Davao City.
PRISM’s Public Relations Officer was among the youth leaders who actively engaged in the summit — a gathering of brilliant young advocates and professionals committed to shaping a sustainable future. The event provided a platform for the youth to share perspectives, collaborate, and reflect on solutions to pressing global challenges, all anchored on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The summit featured impactful discussions from distinguished speakers:
Alyanna Lazarraga, Founding President of Sandiwang Perlas Pilipinas, on SDG 5 (Gender Equality), highlighting inclusivity and women empowerment.
Ruth Marie D. Zosa, RPM, RPsy, Associate Dean of the School of Counseling and Psychology at San Pedro College, on SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), emphasizing mental and physical wellness as the foundation of development.
Jaya Harvy Makol, LPT, SCL, College Instructor from Ateneo Islamic Studies, on SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), inspiring youth to embrace peacebuilding and institutional integrity.
Through this milestone, CMC-CIAL’s PRISM reaffirms its commitment to internationalization, sustainability, and youth empowerment. This participation reflects CMC’s vision of cultivating globally competitive and socially responsible Mindanaoan youth who are ready to contribute as changemakers in both local and global arenas.
Together, let us continue advancing sustainable futures — one action, one youth leader, and one community at a time.
