CMC Field Study Students Complete Learning Journey at Lanao National High School

Central Mindanao Colleges Field Study students completed another important milestone in their preparation for the teaching profession as they concluded their learning experience at Lanao National High School on September 2, 2026.

Their placement provided more than classroom observation. It gave the students direct exposure to the rhythm of school life, the responsibilities of teachers, the needs of learners, and the relationships that make teaching a deeply human profession.

Through daily interaction with the school community, the CMC Field Study students gained a clearer understanding of how educators guide learners, manage classroom realities, respond to different needs, and carry professional responsibilities with patience and care.

The experience also helped the students connect theories from their professional education courses with actual classroom situations. What they observed, heard, and experienced inside the school became practical lessons that strengthened their readiness for future teaching assignments.

CMC expressed its appreciation to Lanao National High School, under the leadership of Luzvisaminda Dequit, School Head, for welcoming the Field Study students and allowing them to learn within an authentic school environment. The institution likewise recognized the teachers, staff, and learners whose support, guidance, and everyday interactions helped make the experience worthwhile.

The warm message extended by the Lanao National High School community further reflected the impact of the students’ stay. Their presence was remembered not only through classroom activities, but also through conversations, shared moments, and connections formed with learners during the Field Study period.

For the future educators, these experiences served as a reminder that teaching is not defined by lesson delivery alone. It is also shaped by trust, consistency, empathy, responsibility, and the ability to create learning experiences that students will remember.

Field Study therefore became more than an academic requirement. It served as a professional learning space where future teachers could observe, reflect, adapt, and better understand the standards expected of them as they move closer to actual classroom practice.

The experience advances SDG 4: Quality Education through practice-based teacher preparation, SDG 5: Gender Equality through the promotion of inclusive and equitable learning environments, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the collaboration between Central Mindanao Colleges and Lanao National High School in preparing future educators.

As their Field Study chapter at Lanao National High School came to a close, the CMC students moved forward with more than completed requirements. They carried with them professional insights, meaningful memories, stronger confidence, and a clearer sense of the kind of educators they hope to become.

The classrooms they entered as observers may one day become the classrooms they lead. The experience has ended, but their preparation for the profession continues.

Choose CMC, where excellence roars.
