CMC Joins 57th PAGE International Convention and General Assembly
Graduate education becomes a catalyst for
excellence when knowledge connects institutions, innovation shapes practice,
and collaboration creates possibilities.
Central Mindanao Colleges expands its
academic horizons as it participates in the 57th International Convention and
General Assembly of the Philippine Association for Graduate Education (PAGE),
Inc., bringing its commitment to graduate education into a wider regional
conversation on excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
Held on August 27–29, 2026, at Lyceum of
the Philippines University–Cavite, the three-day convention gathered academic
leaders and graduate education professionals from various institutions to
engage in conversations shaping the future of graduate education in the
Philippines and the ASEAN region.
Representing Central Mindanao Colleges
were Dr. Gemma N. Kintanar, Dean of the Graduate School Education, and Dr.
Jaymie A. Rellon, Program Head of the Graduate School Education.
Their participation reflects CMC’s
continuing commitment to professional development, research advancement,
innovation, quality assurance, and the continuous strengthening of graduate
education.
The convention carried the theme:
“Graduate Education as Catalyst for ASEAN Integration: Advancing Regional
Excellence through Collaboration, Innovation, and Quality Assurance.”
The theme places graduate education at the
center of a larger regional aspiration: developing institutions capable of
responding to emerging challenges while remaining grounded in academic quality,
innovation, and meaningful collaboration.
For CMC, participation in the convention
was more than representation.
It was an opportunity to connect with
academic leaders, exchange perspectives, encounter emerging practices, and
bring relevant insights back into the institution.
Every conversation opened a possibility.
Every perspective offered a new lens. Every connection strengthened the pathway
toward institutional growth.
Through these academic engagements, CMC
continues to recognize that excellence is strengthened when institutions learn
from one another and participate actively in the conversations shaping higher
education.
The experience likewise reinforces the
importance of professional networks in advancing knowledge exchange,
institutional partnerships, quality assurance, and innovative approaches to
graduate education.
As higher education becomes increasingly
interconnected, institutions are called not only to keep pace with change, but
to understand it, respond to it, and help shape what comes next.
This is where regional engagement becomes
institutional value.
What CMC gains from academic spaces such
as PAGE is not simply knowledge to bring home, but perspectives to examine,
practices to consider, connections to nurture, and possibilities to transform

The participation advances SDG 4: Quality
Education through continuous academic and professional learning; SDG 9:
Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through innovation and knowledge-driven

exchange.
Through its participation in the PAGE
international convention, Central Mindanao Colleges continues to position
