TEACHTalks | CMC CTE ready Future Educators with Five-Part Seminar Series

Kidapawan City, Philippines — With the goal of bridging education and employment, Central
Mindanao Colleges (CMC) launched TEACHTalks: Career Coaching and Employment
Preparation for Future Educators, a comprehensive five-part seminar series held on June 5,
7, and 13, 2025 at CMC Building 9, Room 3-6.
In line with the global advocacy of the United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals—SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG
3: Good Health and Well-being—this initiative aimed to equip graduating education students
with the skills, confidence, and professional preparation needed to enter the teaching
workforce with excellence.
This event include 5 sessions, Session 1: Pre-Employment Orientation Seminar (PEOS)
that ready for the Real World Pre-Employment Orientation for Educators, Session 2:
Employment Coaching for Graduating Students about Winning the Job Hunt: Employment
Coaching for Educators, both held on June 5, 2025.
Followed by Session 3: Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Seminar for the importance
of workplace safety and mental well-being. Students were taught risk assessment, And
Session 4: Career Readiness Seminar, this seminar helped participants transition from
student life to professional teaching roles. Both held on June 7, 2025
Session 5: Panel Interview Simulation for students with a simulated panel interview where
they submitted application documents and participated in mock interviews before a board of
panelists.
Empowering Educators for the Future
Spearheaded by the College of Teachers Education in collaboration with the Career
Guidance and Services Team (CGST) and Job Placement Office (JPO), TEACHTalks was a
success. The program not only enhanced the career preparedness of future educators but
also promoted well-being, safety, and ethical professionalism.
As Central Mindanao Colleges continues to champion education that transforms lives,
events like TEACHTalks reflect its commitment to developing not just professionals, but
purpose-driven educators ready to shape the future.
