Central Mindanao
Colleges (CMC) has achieved another significant milestone in its
internationalization and sustainability journey after earning recognition in
the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, a
prestigious global assessment that evaluates higher education institutions
based on their contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs).
Among participating
higher education institutions worldwide, CMC earned a place in the THE
Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026, affirming the institution’s growing
commitment to sustainability, social responsibility, community engagement, and
transformative education. This recognition highlights the College’s efforts to
integrate sustainable development principles into its academic programs,
research initiatives, extension services, governance practices, and
international engagements.
The achievement was
formally represented during the Times Higher Education Global Sustainable
Development Congress 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia by Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela
Cerna, Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Ms. Desiree D. Gayramara,
Coordinator of the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL). Their
participation reaffirmed CMC’s commitment to engaging with global partners,
sharing best practices, and contributing to international conversations on
sustainability, quality education, and institutional development.
CMC successfully
demonstrated its commitment to five key United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals (SDGs), reflecting the institution’s efforts to integrate sustainability
into its academic, research, extension, and internationalization initiatives. These
include:

awareness, wellness programs, and community engagement initiatives that
contribute to the well-being of learners and stakeholders.

equitable, and quality education through innovative teaching, learning,

development, employability, entrepreneurship, and opportunities that contribute

for the Goals
Fostering local,
national, and international collaborations that advance sustainable development
and create meaningful impact across sectors.
The recognition
affirms CMC’s growing role as a higher education institution committed to
sustainability, internationalization, and social responsibility. Through its
academic programs, research initiatives, extension services, and strategic
partnerships, the College continues to contribute to the achievement of the
Sustainable Development Goals while preparing graduates who are responsive to
the needs of society and the challenges of an interconnected world.
This milestone
