Central Mindanao
Colleges (CMC) continues to expand its global footprint after formalizing a
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Poltava State Agrarian University (PSAU)
of Ukraine, marking another significant milestone in the institution’s
internationalization efforts and commitment to global academic collaboration.
The partnership was
established to promote international friendship, academic cooperation, and
collaborative engagement in the fields of education, research, innovation, and
intercultural exchange. Through this agreement, both institutions reaffirm
their commitment to creating meaningful opportunities that will benefit
students, faculty members, researchers, and academic administrators.
The Memorandum of
Understanding provides a framework for cooperation in several strategic areas,
including student mobility and study abroad opportunities for undergraduate and
graduate students, faculty and staff exchanges, academic visits, collaborative
research initiatives, conferences, academic programs, and the exchange of
information and educational resources. The agreement also opens opportunities
for intercultural activities and future discussions on joint, double, and
multiple degree programs.
Representing Central
Mindanao Colleges in the signing of the agreement was Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela
Cerna, who signed the Memorandum on behalf of the institution. Representing
Poltava State Agrarian University was Prof. Oleksandr Halych, Rector of PSAU.
The agreement symbolizes the shared vision of both institutions to strengthen
international academic cooperation and foster global learning opportunities.
This partnership is
expected to provide CMC students and faculty with increased access to
international experiences, collaborative research projects, academic exchanges,
and professional development opportunities. It also reinforces the College’s
commitment to preparing globally competent graduates equipped with the
knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to thrive in an interconnected
world.
Aligned with the
institution’s internationalization agenda, the partnership supports the
advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly
SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting access to international learning
opportunities, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strategic global
collaboration, and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by enhancing
educational pathways that contribute to workforce development and innovation.
The Memorandum shall
remain in effect for five years and may be automatically extended upon mutual
agreement, ensuring sustained collaboration and continued opportunities for
both institutions to engage in meaningful academic and cultural exchanges.
As Central Mindanao
Colleges continues to strengthen its network of international partners, this
collaboration with Poltava State Agrarian University reflects the institution’s
dedication to fostering excellence without borders and creating transformative
