Inspired by the concepts of lipad (to soar) and layag (to sail), the LIYAG Program symbolizes the aspirations of CMC students to reach greater heights and explore broader horizons through internationalization, global learning, intercultural understanding, and transformative educational experiences.

Through the LIYAG Program, PRISM will spearhead student participation in international academic collaborations, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), cultural exchange initiatives, international mobility programs, global citizenship education, Sustainable Development Goals advocacy, leadership development activities, and community engagement projects. These initiatives are designed to equip students with the competencies, perspectives, and values needed to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world.

The LIYAG Program embodies CIAL’s commitment to creating opportunities that allow students to learn beyond borders while remaining grounded in their local identity, culture, and community. By fostering meaningful partnerships and international engagements, the program aims to empower CMCians to become globally competent professionals, culturally responsive leaders, and agents of positive change.

Under the guidance of the Center for International Affairs and Linkages, the incoming PRISM officers are expected to lead innovative projects and initiatives that will further strengthen the institution’s internationalization agenda and expand opportunities for students to engage with diverse cultures, ideas, and global networks. Their leadership will play a vital role in ensuring that the vision of the LIYAG Program continues to inspire students to dream bigger, lead boldly, and serve purposefully.

As one chapter closes and another begins, PRISM remains steadfast in its mission of empowering students to become catalysts of positive change and ambassadors of global citizenship. With renewed energy, fresh perspectives, and a shared commitment to service, the organization looks forward to another year of impactful programs, meaningful partnerships, and transformative experiences.

The future of PRISM shines brightly as its new leaders embrace the challenge of carrying forward the organization’s vision, building bridges across cultures, creating opportunities beyond borders, and inspiring fellow students to lead with purpose, compassion, and a global mindset.

One Organization. One Vision. Endless Possibilities.
