Strong partnerships
continue to transform higher education into a dynamic community of
collaboration, leadership, and shared excellence as the Commission on Higher
Education (CHED) celebrates its 32nd Founding Anniversary and the 6th National
Higher Education Day.
Through the united
participation of higher education institutions across the region, CHED Region
XII officially announced the Inter-School Pickleball Tournament 2026 set on May
26, 2026, at the Paraiso Verde Pickleball Court from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Central Mindanao
Colleges (CMC) proudly joins the regional celebration as the CMC Liondinkers
participate alongside institutions committed to promoting sportsmanship,
wellness, and academic unity. This endeavor is supported by the Center for
Athletic Development of the Institute for Support Services in supporting
student and employee athletic initiatives.
Carrying the theme,
“Achieve-ing Knowledge Economy Together for Future-Ready Bagong Pilipinas,” the
tournament aims to strengthen camaraderie, teamwork, wellness, and
collaboration among colleges and universities through meaningful athletic
engagement and institutional participation.
The official
tournament categories include Beginners Women's Doubles, Beginners Men's
Doubles, Beginners Mixed Doubles, Novice Women's Doubles, Novice Men's Doubles,
Novice Mixed Doubles, and the Executive or President's Category.
Representing Central
Mindanao Colleges in the Beginners Men's Doubles category are Ranel C. Mamon
and Atty. Rustan Jay Famador, while Mark Concepcion and Nikko Rey Sullivan will
compete in the Novice Men's Doubles category. Representing the institution in
the Executive Category is Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna, Vice-President for
Academic Affairs.
