PHD 806 LAUNCHES SUMMER TERM THROUGH A CO-CURRICULAR ACADEMIC FORUM

The first meeting of PHD 806: Human Behavior, Organizational Culture and Learning formally opened through a meaningful Co-Curricular Academic Forum on Human Behavior facilitated by Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna during the first term of the Summer Semester.

The forum served as an avenue for doctoral students to engage in reflective discussions on human behavior, organizational culture, and learning, particularly their influence on leadership, workplace relationships, and professional growth in educational and organizational settings.

Students expressed appreciation for the opportunity to learn from the Vice President for Academic Affairs of Central Mindanao Colleges and Member of the Board of Directors, whose professional experience and academic insights contributed significantly to the depth and relevance of the discussion.

The session encouraged active participation among doctoral students as they exchanged ideas, reflected on personal and professional experiences, and connected theoretical concepts to actual situations in their respective institutions and workplaces. Students also shared field-based experiences that made the discussions more interactive, collaborative, and grounded in real-life contexts.

Beyond serving as a course orientation, the activity provided students with meaningful academic engagement that promoted reflective thinking, collaboration, and the practical application of learning in educational leadership and organizational practice.

“Effective educational leadership begins with reflective learning, meaningful collaboration, and a strong understanding of organizational culture,” shared Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna.

“The opening session inspired us to actively participate, exchange perspectives, and connect learning to real-life professional experiences,” expressed Ms. Aurren I. Capatan, a PhDEL student.

The class likewise conveyed gratitude to Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna for his guidance and commitment to creating a learning environment that motivates students to pursue academic and professional growth with confidence and purpose.
