Central Mindanao Colleges, through the Center for Job Placement
and in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),
successfully conducted “SPESsibilities: An Orientation for DOLE-SPES
Beneficiaries” on May 8, 2026, at the CMC Accreditation Room.
More than an orientation, the activity became a platform for
empowerment, employability, and future-building among student beneficiaries
under the SPES program.
Center for Job Placement Officer Mr. Jerson John Villegas
emphasized that SPES goes beyond temporary employment and serves as an
opportunity for students to discover their potential, strengthen
professionalism, and gain meaningful real-world experiences.
One of the highlights of the activity was the participation of
Ms. Mayette Jhen C. Bumagat, DOLE-SPES Focal Person, who facilitated
discussions on the SPES overview, application processes, requirements, and open
forum. Through initiatives like SPESsibilities, CMC continues to transform
opportunities into possibilities and potential into purpose.
Aligned with SDG 4 and SDG 8, the initiative strengthens CMC’s
commitment to future-ready education, student empowerment, and meaningful
workforce development.
Because at CMC, student empowerment is not just supported, it
is shaped.
