As
part of its continuing commitment to internationalization, leadership
development, and global citizenship formation, Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC)
proudly recognizes two of its student leaders, Anjo Louis Banaban, President of
the Gender and Development Organization, and Ariane Grace Banais, Public
Relations Officer of CMC PRISM (Passionate and Responsive Individuals for
Strategic Internationalization and Sustainable Development in Mindanao), for
being selected to participate in the #AMINEXT?
Ambassadors Program scheduled on March 28 to 29, 2026, at Robinsons Cybergate
Delta Tower 2, Davao City.
Chosen
from a competitive pool of 256 applicants from across Mindanao, they are among
the 21 selected women and LGBTQIA+ leaders, victim survivors, and allies who
will take part in this leadership and advocacy program organized by Our
Stories, Our Voices in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für
Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH Civil Peace Service.
The
program focuses on amplifying the voices and lived experiences of women and
LGBTQIA+ advocates as platforms for leadership, empowerment, and social
transformation. Participants will undergo a two day face to face leadership and
community building workshop, complemented by online learning engagements
through the ATINGI Digital Enquirer Kit on Gender Based Violence. The program
aims to equip ambassadors with practical knowledge and skills to address the
social, cultural, and digital dimensions of gender based violence.
Through
expert led sessions, collaborative workshops, and solution building activities,
participants are expected to strengthen their advocacy competencies, expand
professional networks, and enhance their capacity to contribute to gender
equality and inclusive development initiatives within their respective
communities.
The
participation of these students reflects CMC’s strategic direction toward
strengthening global engagement, student mobility, and meaningful participation
in programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly
on quality education, gender equality, and partnerships for development.
The
Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL) commends Anjo and Ariane
for exemplifying the ideals of transformative student leadership and global
engagement. Their participation demonstrates the institution’s commitment to
producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also socially
responsive and globally competitive.
Central
Mindanao Colleges expresses its full support and pride as they represent the
institution in this significant international and intercultural learning
engagement.
Congratulations, Anjo and Ariane. Continue to lead, inspire, and create impact beyond borders.
