CCentral Mindanao Colleges (CMC), through the Center for Human Capital Development and Management (CHCDM), hosted the PhilHealth YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan) Caravan on March 13, 2026 at the Students’ Activity Center. The activity served 63 CMC employees and students through accessible healthcare services and PhilHealth assistance.
The
initiative brought essential PhilHealth services directly to the CMC community.
Participants were assisted with member registration, enrollment of dependents,
and benefit orientation to help them better understand and maximize their
healthcare coverage.
The
caravan also provided free medical consultation through the First Patient
Encounter (FPE). Healthcare professionals conducted initial health assessments
and offered medical guidance to participants.
Bringing
healthcare services directly to campus, the activity promoted greater health
awareness and encouraged proactive health management among employees and
students.
The
initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 4: Quality Education, and
SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, highlighting the importance of accessible
healthcare and collaborative community programs.
Through
initiatives such as the PhilHealth YAKAP Caravan, Central Mindanao Colleges
continues to strengthen a culture of wellness and community care while
supporting a healthier and more informed academic community.
