Message from the CMC Gender and Development (GAD) Coordinator, Ms. Katherine Mae Abayabay

This March, as we celebrate the strength and contributions of women around the world, we honor every woman in the CMC community who carries many worlds at once, the student pursuing her dreams with determination, the educator shaping future generations, the employee fulfilling responsibilities with dedication, the mother nurturing with unwavering love, the sister who stands resilient, and the friend who offers kindness and support.

Across communities and cultures, women continue to inspire change through their courage, leadership, and compassion. Here at CMC, our women reflect the same strength, balancing academics, work, family, and personal aspirations while contributing meaningfully to our academic community and to society.

As the Gender and Development Coordinator of CMC, I reaffirm my commitment to promoting equality, respect, and opportunities where every woman is empowered to learn, lead, and thrive in a world that values their voice and potential.

You are seen. You are valued. You are valid.

When women rise with courage and purpose, communities grow stronger, institutions flourish, and together we move closer to a more inclusive and equitable global future.
