CMC CIAL Extends Chinese New Year Greetings from Shenzhen

From the vibrant city of Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China, the Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) community proudly extends its warmest Chinese New Year greetings following the successful completion of the College of Teacher Education (CTE) international academic and cultural engagement under the I-ACE LIYAG Program of the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL) held from February 12–16, 2026.

The five-day international immersion, which included visits to Macau and Hong Kong, provided meaningful exposure to global educational environments, cultural heritage sites, and cross-border learning experiences. Concluding on February 16, 2026, the program strengthened students’ global perspectives while reinforcing their roles as future educators in an increasingly interconnected world.

Celebrating the Lunar New Year in Shenzhen added deeper significance to the engagement, symbolizing renewal, prosperity, unity, and strengthened international friendship. The experience highlighted CMC’s continuing commitment to internationalization and transformative education that extends learning beyond national borders.

The I-ACE LIYAG engagement directly advances the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing international academic exposure and global competency development; SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting intercultural understanding and responsible global citizenship; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strengthened academic collaboration and international linkages.

Moreover, the initiative aligns with the principles of the World’s Universities with Real Impact (WURI) framework by emphasizing global mobility, experiential learning, ethical leadership formation, and real-world international engagement beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through this completed program, CMC reaffirms its strategic commitment to quality assurance, sustainable development, and global academic excellence.

As the Chinese New Year season continues, the CMC community celebrates not only the successful culmination of the international engagement but also the expanding horizons of its global partnerships.
