Hieza
Kyle I. Sidayon a Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting (BSMA) student
and Secretary of the Progressive Organization for Professional Enhancement and
Leadership (PROPEL) officially began her internship at the Department of Labor
and Employment Regional Office XII (DOLE XII) under the Cotabato Field Office
(CFO) on January 6.
The
internship requires the completion of 400 hours, providing the intern with
hands-on exposure to financial operations, administrative processes, and public
service systems within a government institution. This professional training
allows the application of management accounting principles in a real-world
public sector environment, strengthening both technical competence and work
ethics.
The
internship supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),
particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, by promoting experiential learning; SDG
8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, through meaningful youth participation in
labor and employment institutions; and SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong
Institutions, by reinforcing transparency, accountability, and effective
governance in public service.
This
milestone reflects the organizationās commitment to leadership development,
professional growth, and sustainable development, preparing student leaders for
future roles in both public service and the professional workforce.
