Central
Mindanao Colleges (CMC) organized "Pagpakabana: Empowering Young Learners
Through Community Support," a collaborative initiative that took place on
July 25, 2024.
This
event, implemented by students and faculty of the Graduate School Education of
the MA 343, MA 344, and MA 345 classes, made a lasting impact on the
educational journeys of young students at Manongol Central Elementary School,
while promoting a sense of community and support.
This
initiative highlighted CMC's unwavering commitment to community outreach as an
essential means of fulfilling the constitutional mandate of accessible and
quality education for all. The 1987 Philippine Constitution enshrines the
State's responsibility to protect and promote the right to quality education at
all levels, ensuring that it is within reach for every Filipino.
The
objectives of "Pagpakabana" were clear and impactful: to promote a
nurturing and supportive learning environment for the students of Manongol
Central Elementary School, enhancing their educational engagement, emotional
well-being, and sense of community.
Through
the strengthening of ties between the school and the local community, this
event aimed to improve students' proficiency in reading, writing, and
arithmetic through engaging activities, and empowered parents with effective
strategies to support their children's educational and personal growth.
CMC
committed to strengthening community partnerships and reinforcing
collaboration. Together, we created a positive impact on the lives of young
learners, forging a stronger, more supportive community for all.
