Program Overview


The College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) is a distinguished academic unit committed to providing high-quality education and training in the field of criminal justice. Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

After 5 years of graduation, the College of Criminal Justice Education graduates will be able to:

PEO 1 - Demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety, criminal justice and human rights in the practice of the profession.

PEO 2 - Exhibit honesty, integrity and professionalism in the performance of duties and responsibilities.

PEO 3 - Professional development programs through graduate work, technical advancement, and self-directed learning.

Student Outcomes (SO)

Upon completion of the program, the College of Criminal Justice Education graduates will be able to:

SO 1 - Conduct criminological research on crimes, crime causation, victims, and offenders to include deviant behavior;

SO 2 - Internalize the concepts of human rights and victim welfare;

SO 3 - Demonstrate competence and broad understanding in law enforcement administration, public safety and criminal justice;

SO 4 - Utilize criminalistics or forensic science in the investigation and detection of crime;

SO 5 - Apply the principles and jurisprudence of criminal law, evidence and criminal procedure; and

SO 6 - Ensure offenders’ welfare and development for their re-integration to the community.


College Objectives (CO)

The College of Criminal Justice Education aims to:

CO 1 - Provide quality instructions and guided experience through qualified and competent instructors by which students learn knowledge and skills essential to the practice of criminology;

CO 2 - Promote leadership, integrity, discipline, love and respect to environment, accountability and responsibility to college, community and country;

CO 3 - Equip students a broad socio-cultural background and understanding through the outcomes-based education program; and

CO 4 - Conduct research studies, extension programs and community development that will strengthen the practice of criminology profession in the country and to help the community in the maintenance of peace and order.
