Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) proudly recognized five of its outstanding student leaders during the institutionโs weekly flag-raising ceremony for their successful participation in the YSEALI MOOC Camp on Youth Leadership Development.
The awardeesโJen Mar Maquiling, Micah Jean Mamugay, Christopher Fernando, Amishusien Nor Banto, and Julius Tanโwere among the 27 selected fellows from a competitive pool of 189 applicants across Mindanao. They represented both CMC and the broader Cotabato community in the Emerging Young Leaders Program (EYLP) under the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI).
The program, supported by the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, USASEAN, American Spaces Philippines, American Corner Davao-ADDU, and other regional partners, focuses on developing, mentoring, and supporting youth leadership throughout Southeast Asia. It emphasizes civic engagement, inclusive leadership, and regional collaboration.
CMCโs recognition of these students highlights the institutionโs growing presence in regional youth initiatives and its ongoing commitment to nurturing future leaders capable of global thinking and local action.
As these five student leaders continue their journey, the CMC community celebrates their achievement and looks forward to the positive impact they will bring both on campus and in their communities.
