CMC
Champions Student Success at PESOMAC
As
the demands of the modern workforce continue to evolve, job readiness has
emerged as the true measure of educational success.
At
Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), this belief drives a transformative mission:
to empower students not only to graduate, but to thrive in the world of work
with confidence, competence, and purpose.
Affirming
this commitment, CMC actively participated in the 3rd Monthly Meeting and
Learning Session of the Public Employment Service Office Managers of Cotabato
(PESOMAC), held on March 28, 2025, at Park Lay Suites, Kidapawan City. The
session centered on the implementation of Department Order (DO) 239-A, a
critical DOLE policy designed to enhance the efficiency and impact of local
Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs).
Representing
CMC was Mr. Jerson John Villegas, LPT, Job Placement Officer, who joined
regional leaders and labor service advocates in advancing local employment
solutions. In his address, Villegas emphasized the importance of institutional
alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly SDG 4
(Quality Education) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth)—as part of
CMC’s holistic approach to workforce development.
“At
CMC, job readiness is not a program—it’s a promise. Every student we guide,
every graduate we produce, must leave equipped not only with knowledge but with
purpose, confidence, and clear career pathways,” said Villegas.
DO
239-A outlines updated operational guidelines for PESOs, ensuring consistency,
efficiency, and inclusivity in employment services. The session served as a
venue for exchanging innovations, best practices, and policy responses to the
changing needs of both job seekers and industries.
CMC’s
active involvement highlights its enduring dedication to creating meaningful
career pathways for students. Beyond academic instruction, the college
implements integrated job placement programs, employer linkages, career
coaching, and industry-aligned learning experiences—ensuring that learners are
career-ready and purpose-driven.
As
PESOMAC continues to lead in fostering regional collaboration among PESO
offices, academic institutions, and private sector partners, CMC remains
steadfast in its role: shaping futures, one meaningful career at a time.
