Out of 189 applicants, 27 promising young changemakers from the Davao Region and across Mindanao have been selected to take part in the Emerging Young Leaders Program (EYLP): YSEALI Learns MOOC Camp on Developing, Mentoring, and Supporting Youth Leadership, a initiative promoting civic engagement and inclusive leadership across Southeast Asia. Among the selected fellows are five student leaders from Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC), Including Jen Mar Maquiling, Micah Jean Mamugay, Christopher Fernando, Amishusien Nor Banto, and Julius Tan, proudly representing Kidapawan and the broader Cotabato community in this transformative youth leadership journey. The camp, organized by the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines, U.S. Mission to ASEAN (USASEAN), American Spaces Philippines, American Corner Davao-ADDU, YSEALI Philippines, Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Davao Hub, United States Government Alumni Association - Davao, and Ateneo de Davao University, is a testament to the power of international cooperation and youth empowerment. CMC's involvement highlights the growing civic engagement in Cotabato, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to molding leaders capable of global thinking and local action. As these Emerging Young Leaders take their next steps, we invite the public to follow their journey online, celebrate their wins, and support the change they seek to create.
