Student success in the arts grows through
training, collaboration, and opportunities that allow young performers to
sharpen their craft.
Central Mindanao Colleges, through the
Institute for Culture and the Arts (ICA) – Performing Arts, participated in the
Kabataang Kidapaweño Dance and Choreography Workshop on August 8–9, 2026, at
the City Convention Center, Kidapawan City, Cotabato Province.
Represented by members of the Likhang
Pawan Dance Company, CMC joined the activity as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan
2026 celebration with the theme “Different Context, Common Aspirations.”
The two-day workshop gave student-artists
opportunities to strengthen dance technique, choreography, creative expression,
teamwork, and performance discipline while learning alongside fellow young
artists.
For the Institute for Culture and the
Arts, the participation supported its continuing work in developing competent
student-artists through training and cultural engagement beyond the campus.
The experience also helped prepare Likhang
Pawan members for future performances, competitions, and institutional
representations while strengthening their confidence and artistic competence.
Through opportunities such as this, CMC
continues to support student success in the arts by helping young performers
train, create, collaborate, and represent the institution with pride.
