CIAL through PRISM Leads Symbolic Guestbook Signing at Kultura at Kizuna 2026

Kidapawan City, Philippines — Central Mindanao Colleges, through the Center for International Affairs and Linkages and its student arm PRISM (Passionate and Responsive Individuals for Strategic Internationalization and Sustainable Development in Mindanao), once again strengthened its inbound international engagement during Kultura at Kizuna: A Japan Philippines Cultural Exchange on February 20, 2026 at the Students Activity Center.

A meaningful highlight of the event was the symbolic guestbook signing ceremony led by PRISM President Cristoper D. Fernando, together with student leaders Jannesah Leah Amboludan and Daniel Paul Marañon. The ceremonial signing served as a reaffirmation of friendship, partnership, and continued commitment to intercultural collaboration between CMC and its Japanese delegates.

Organized under the LIYAG Banner Program through the LINK+ Global Engagement platform, the inbound exchange reflects CMC’s sustained efforts in cultural diplomacy and home based internationalization. The guestbook signing was not merely a formal protocol but a symbolic gesture that reinforces ongoing cooperation and shared aspirations for deeper academic and cultural collaboration.

By facilitating the ceremony, PRISM demonstrated the active role of students in advancing institutional internationalization. Their leadership underscored CMC’s inclusive model, where global engagement is strengthened through shared participation of administrators, faculty, and students.

Delegates and student representatives inscribed messages of appreciation and goodwill in the guestbook, capturing the spirit of mutual respect and enduring partnership. The moment affirmed that internationalization at CMC is a continuing journey built on relationships nurtured over time.

The initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 16 Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions, and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals. It also reflects elements aligned with the World University Rankings for Innovation framework in the areas of ethical value creation and student driven global engagement.

Through the sustained leadership of CIAL and the active participation of PRISM, the symbolic guestbook signing at Kultura at Kizuna 2026 stands as another step forward in CMC’s continuing pursuit of CMC and Beyond and Excellence Without Borders.
