CMC Sends Off CTE International Delegation under I-ACE LIYAG Program

As Central Mindanao Colleges continues to open doors to the world for its students, it once again affirmed its commitment to global excellence and transformative education through the successful send-off of its international academic delegation.

February 9, 2026-Through the Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL), CMC formally sent off its College of Teacher Education (CTE) delegation to Macau, Hong Kong, and Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China, from February 12 to 16, 2026, under the International Academic and Cultural Exchange (I-ACE) LIYAG Program. The ceremony was headed by Dr. Mark Gennesis Dela Cerna, Director of the Institute for External and Alumni Affairs, and was endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office XII, ensuring compliance with national standards on international engagement.

The delegation, composed of 39 students, is led by CTE Dean Dr. Beatriz Gosadan as Faculty in Charge, with Mr. Ranel C. Mamon serving as faculty representative. Also present during the send-off were Director for Institute for Support Services Erolle Linus T. Miranda and Ms. Trisha Karl Rellon, Center for Student Success Officer, who expressed their support for the delegates’ international academic journey.

The program aims to strengthen global learning, intercultural competence, and international collaboration through meaningful academic and cultural exposure. During the ceremony, Dr. Dela Cerna emphasized the importance of character and responsibility, stating, “You carry not only your academic aspirations but the values, integrity, and identity of CMC. Let this experience shape you into globally competent and ethically grounded educators.”

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the initiative reflects CMC’s sustained commitment to internationalization, quality assurance, and transformative education.

Delegates were reminded of their role as academic and cultural ambassadors expected to uphold excellence, discipline, and professionalism.
