KIDAPAWAN
CITY, Philippines — The Center for International Affairs and Linkages (CIAL) of
Central Mindanao Colleges actively took part in the Graduate School Education’s
Field-Based Experiential Learning – Local Educational Trip in Bataan held from
November 27 to 29, 2025. Representing the center was its Coordinator, Ms.
Desiree D. Gayramara, LPT, whose leadership and dedicated support contributed
significantly to the successful and meaningful conduct of the three-day
academic exploration.
Working
alongside the Graduate School team led by Dean Dr. Gemma N. Kintanar, Ms.
Gayramara ensured that the entire learning journey was well-organized, aligned
with the educational objectives of the program, and enriched with reflective
and culturally grounded experiences. Her presence helped facilitate the smooth
flow of activities, allowing participants to maximize their exposure to the
historical and cultural landscape of Bataan.
The
delegation visited key sites that provided profound learning insights. At the
World War II Museum and the Mt. Samat National Shrine, participants deepened
their appreciation for the nation’s history, courage, and collective memory of
wartime heroism. The group also engaged in an educational visit to the Pawikan
Conservation Centre, where they learned about marine conservation efforts and
the importance of protecting endangered species. The experience concluded at
Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar, where students explored Filipino heritage,
architectural preservation, and cultural storytelling through restored
ancestral houses and curated historical exhibits.
For
Ms. Gayramara, the trip was a meaningful opportunity to witness firsthand how
experiential learning enhances academic maturity, cultural appreciation, and a
deeper sense of national identity among graduate students. She expressed that
supporting such activities reaffirms CIAL’s commitment to elevating learning
experiences beyond the classroom.
The
participation of CIAL in the educational trip also echoes Central Mindanao
Colleges’ commitment to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development
Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) by strengthening experiential and
contextualized learning, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through
collaborative initiatives that support institutional growth and student
development.
CIAL
extends its gratitude for being part of this enriching academic endeavor. Under
the leadership of Ms. Gayramara, the Center remains steadfast in its mission to
help cultivate culturally rooted, socially aware, and academically empowered
learners.
