CMC and DepEd Kidapawan City Present Newly Admitted PhDEL Scholars

December 9,2025-The commitment to strengthening educational leadership in Kidapawan City took center stage as Central Mindanao Colleges (CMC) and the Department of Education Kidapawan City Division formally presented the newly admitted scholars of the Doctor of Philosophy in Education major in Educational Leadership (PhDEL) program for the First Semester of Academic Year 2025–2026.

 

The presentation ceremony gathered key education officials, including Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Miguel P. Fillalan Jr., CESO VI, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Mark Gennesis B. Dela Cerna, Graduate School Education Dean Dr. Gemma N. Kintanar, and PhDEL Program Head Dr. Jaymie A. Rellon, who joined the scholars in a photo opportunity symbolizing the start of their doctoral journey.

 

In his message, SDS Dr. Fillalan emphasized the significant role of the scholars in strengthening instructional and administrative leadership across public schools.

“Our schools need leaders who are ready to reimagine education. Your pursuit of doctoral studies is not just a personal achievement. It is a commitment to uplift every learner and every teacher you will influence,” he said.

 

VPAA Dr. Dela Cerna highlighted the importance of empowering educators with advanced competencies to address the changing demands of the education landscape. “CMC believes in developing leaders who can make evidence based decisions, innovate with integrity, and champion educational transformation. We are honored to walk with you in this scholarly journey,” he stated.

 

Graduate School Education Dean Dr. Kintanar encouraged the scholars to embrace the challenges of doctoral work as an opportunity to expand their influence and deepen their leadership capacity. “Doctoral education is a calling. It requires courage and resilience. But it also equips you with the power to lead change, influence policy, and create meaningful impact,” she remarked.

 

Dr. Jaymie A. Rellon, PhDEL Program Head, expressed his optimism for the scholars as they embark on doctoral studies that will prepare them for greater leadership roles.

“This program is designed to empower educators with the knowledge, discipline, and leadership mindset necessary to respond to the evolving needs of our schools and communities,” he shared.

 

The scholars received their confirmation folders and orientation materials during the ceremony, marking their official entry into the PhDEL program. Their admission reflects a shared commitment between CMC and DepEd Kidapawan City to cultivate educational leaders who can drive innovation and improve learning outcomes across the division.
